13. Epilogue (3:33)
music © 1990 by walter nicholls & colin nicholls
Notes
No suite is complete without an epilogue. Here we again bring back some musical themes from The Steel Tree and finish off the album in a pensive mood.
Walter's original vision for this was of a more orchestral nature, and perhaps I've taken some liberties with the musical arrangement. I like the way it reprises the instrumentation and themes from earlier parts of the suite.
Production Notes
Wow - on reflection, this really did turn into a kind of "kitchen sink" project.

Early Stages
Since 1988 we've been recording our jam sessions on tape cassette. In 1999 I digitized the archives for reference. Any moments of magic relevant to this track, I've extracted and present here.
Themes (1990):
Here's Walter jamming on the Korg M1 and coming up with the basic themes in 1990. The Korg M1 has some nice sounds...
Demo (1991):
Walter expands on the music, adding the second section (major key), and sequences it all in the Korg M1. I must apologize for the brash guitar right at the end.
