It didn&#8217;t take the trip across the Pacific too well and for a number of years it hang on my wall as a decoration.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I decided to experiment and turn it into a fretless nylon string guitar. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spacefold.com\/colin\/posts\/2005\/05-20Fretlessclassicalgui.html\">I documented that process here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spacefold.com\/colin\/posts\/2005\/05-29TomastikStrings.html\">strung it<\/a> with Tomastik-Infield KR116 strings, and it is a lot of fun to play.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a little idea I started working out over the next few days:<br \/><audio controls=\"controls\"><source src=\"\/mp3\/fretless_nylon.mp3\" type=\"audio\/mpeg\" \/>Your browser does not support the audio element.<\/audio><\/p>\n<p>Two takes, rhythm panned left and lead panned right.
