{"id":126,"date":"2005-07-20T00:39:00","date_gmt":"2005-07-20T00:39:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/blog\/post\/2005\/07\/20\/Carvin-DC127-Woody"},"modified":"2005-07-20T00:39:00","modified_gmt":"2005-07-20T00:39:00","slug":"carvin-dc127-woody","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prodigalsounds.com\/blog\/2005\/07\/20\/carvin-dc127-woody\/","title":{"rendered":"Carvin DC127 &#8220;Woody&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.carvinguitars.com\/catalog\/guitars\/index.php?model=dc127\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/gear\/CarvinDC127.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"208\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Serial# 423649<\/p>\n<p>When I sold my TL60 to Tony The Bass Player, I ordered up a replacement instrument with similar specs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DC127<\/li>\n<li>Fixed Bridge<\/li>\n<li>Tung-oiled Alder neck and body<\/li>\n<li>Rounded body style<\/li>\n<li>No inlays<\/li>\n<li>CT-style headstock<\/li>\n<li>C22B, H22N pickups<\/li>\n<li>Fishman Piezo-Acoustic bridge<\/li>\n<li>DC200-style active electronics<\/li>\n<li>Black chrome hardware<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Basically I wanted the same specs as my old TL60 but with the following changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>rounded body sides (not available on TL60)<\/li>\n<li>No tremelo (the piezo pickup was sensitive to creaks and popping sounds)<\/li>\n<li>No neck inlay dots (I like the clean look)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve never felt the same way about this guitar as I did about the TL60. This surprised me &#8211; it was supposed to be a better instrument for me.
